Final press-conference to present the results of the project “A Chance for Development” and to summarize what has been achieved so far was organized by the project implementation team at the Academy of Economics “D.A.Tsenov” in the town of Svisthov on 17 april 2019. More than 50 people, representatives of the target group and other interested stakeholders from Svisthov, and representatives of the lead partner from Romania attended the event.
The main goal of the two-year project is to increase the employability by developing professional competencies and fostering the professional mobility of jobseekers in Dolj (Romania), Vidin and Svishtov (Bulgaria). The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Regional Development Fund and is funded by the cross-border territorial program "INTERREG Romania-Bulgaria V-A". The lead partner in the project is the University of Craiova, Romania. On the Bulgarian side the partners are the Academy of Economics "D. A. Tsenov " in the town of Svishtov Svishtov and Regional Development Foundation - Vidin. The total budget of the project is EUR 648,094.73. The total national co-financing is EUR 84252,31, incl. EUR 66248.10 from the national budget of Romania and EUR 18004.21 from the national budget of Bulgaria. The partners' own funds amount to € 12961.90.
The University of Craiova organized its final press conference to present the results of the project achieved both for Romania and Bulgaria on 11th of April 2019. The event attracted more than 50 participants - students, lecturers, representatives of the project management team for Regional Development Foundation and for the University of Craiova. The conference was officially launched by prof. Mihaela Tinka Udristioiu, who is also project manager for all partners. She presented the results of the implemented activities, achieved so far. The University Vice Rector also welcomed the participants and expressed his joy and excitement from the successful finalization of the project. Mrs. Diana Tyurkedzhieva, who is one of the Bulgarian communication experts within the project, presented the deliverables for Bulgaria and expressed her gratitude for the continuous support, provided by the Romanian partner during the project, as well as for the successful and fruitful partnership built with the University of Craiova.
The team of experts from the Academy of Economics "D. A. Tsenov” in the town of Svisthov organized a job fair for representatives of the project target groups - unemployed and students at the Academy on March 27, 2019. Its successful implementation is a result of the established contacts with the target groups and employers, the organized trainings and visits in a real working environment. More than 100 people attended the event, including employers, students, job seekers, representatives from the project management team, lecturers and other relevant stakeholders. 13 companies presented the participants their open job vacancies and distributed different promotional materials to promote their businesses.
Regional Development Foundation organized press-conference at the Neptune Hotel (8 Dunavska Street) in Vidin on 28th of February. The conference was organized with the purpose to present the results of "A Chance for Development" project for Vidin. The project aimed to increase the capacity and the employability by simultaneously developing professional skills and providing better communication between employers and jobseekers in the Dolj county, Vidin district and Veliko Turnovo district. The lead partner of the project is the University of Craiova, and the partners are Regional Development Foundation and Academy of Economics in the town of Svishtov. During the implementation of the project, priority was given to consultations and trainings to facilitate the processes of labor market inclusion for jobseekers, including students and graduates. The final project activities will be completed in May 2019.
More than 100 people, unemployed or jobseekers from the cross-border region covered by the project, as well as more than 25 representatives of companies, information networks and non-governmental organizations from Vidin district took part in the project. They received more than 100 consultations on the opportunities for realization in the labor market at regional, national and European level and also participated in a number of trainings carried out by Regional Development Foundation during the project period.
The project is implemented with the financial support of the Cross-Border Cooperation Program INTERREG V-A Romania-Bulgaria 2014-2020, co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and the national budgets of the Republic of Romania and the Republic of Bulgaria.
Regional Development Foundation, along with the University of Craiova and with the support of Europe Direct Information Centre will organize a job fair both for business representatives and jobseekers. The forum will take place on February 28, 2019 at 13:00 at Neptun Hotel in Vidin. Its main purpose is to provide opportunities for expansion and optimization of the business organizations, for qualification and re-qualification, as well as opportunities for direct meetings between business and jobseekers. The job fair will be officially opened by Mr. Ognian Zlatev, Head of the EC Representation in Bulgaria. Representatives of the European Information Networks EURES, HRDC, Creative Europe Bureau, programme "Europe for Citizens", Career Guidance Center-Vidin, District Information Center, the University of Craiova, Vidin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, business and non-governmental organizations in the area will attend the forum. More than 100 people are expected to participate in the career forum. They will get acquainted with up-to-date information on labor market trends on the part of European information networks, initiatives and business support organizations and incentives for labor exchange. Participation in the career forum of companies and visitors is free of charge.
The final press-conference to present the outcomes and achievements of "A Chance for Development Programme" for Vidin will take place on 28th of February 2019 at 16:00 in the Neptun Hotel (8 Dunavska Street) in the town of Vidin. The project, implemented by Regional Development Foundation aims to increase capacity and employability by developing professional skills and providing better communication between employers and jobseekers in the Dolj County, and Vidin and Veliko Tarnovo regions. During the implementation of the project, many consultations and training seminars to facilitate the processes of labor market inclusion for jobseekers, including students and graduates took place. The final project activities will be completed in May 2019.
One of the job fairs that is planned to take place in Bulgaria will be organized by the Bulgarian partner of Chance for development project Regional Development Foundation. The career forum will take place in February 2019 in the office premises of the Foundation. It aims to gather jobseekers from Vidin with business representatives from the district.
Regional Development Foundation will invite business representatives from the region to present the career opportunities of their companies. They will organize information stands and will be able to present the activities of the companies / businesses they represent. Within the framework of the career day, the Europe Direct-Vidin Center will place a stand for jobseekers, where a representative of the Center will present different opportunities for realization in the European institutions.
The initiative aims to support the target groups of the Chance for Development project, unemployed or jobseekers from Vidin region, as well as other unemployed people in the area.
